ACCET accredits schools such as First Institute for the purpose of ensuring program quality and consumer protections for students. ACCET is a private, not-for-profit accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an authority on quality education and training, and it's their job to evaluate schools and training centers to help them improve.
